Pin-Up Pets Fundraiser

A new twist on our annual fundraiser.

For the past year we have been producing children's portraits in our unique "Masterworks" style.  We have had such an incredible response from these portraits we are taking them to the next level - our first love - your pets.  Introducing Pin-Up Pets Masterworks Portraits.

2019 has been a busy year.  We typically offer our Pin-Up Pets portrait fundraiser in the spring.  This spring Tangerine House of Design owner and photographer Lisa Asp founded the Animal Image Makers Conference, an international gathering for pet photography education.  We want to stay involved with fundraising so we have teamed up with our amazing pro lab to offer their national pet portrait contest along with our annual pet portrait fundraiser.  What does this mean for you?  Not only to you get a masterfully crafted heirloom portrait of your four-legged family member, but you will also be eligible for PRIZES through the lab's contest.

We are offering our sessions for just two weeks:  September 10-25, 2019.  Only 25 portrait sessions will be available.  Sessions will take place in our brand new Loring Corners studio in Minneapolis.  All sessions will be included in the national contest with prizes of:

1 Grand Prize:  $250 Visa Gift Card

7 First Place Winners - $100 Visa Gift Card*

7 Second Place Winners - $75 Visa Gift Card*

7 Third Place Winners - $50 Visa Gift Card*

How to take part

Your session

Participants in the Pin-Up Pets fundraiser will come to our brand new Loring Corners studio in Minneapolis for their portrait session.  Sessions will include approximately 30 minutes of time creating your portraits.  We will schedule another time a few weeks later to view and select your favorites.  We feel strongly that these portraits are meant to be displayed on your wall, so toward that end you will recieve a 16x20 heirloom canvas, framed in a one-of-a-kind museum style frame from our carefully curated inventory of authenic vintage frames.  (Additional ordering options will be available.)  All-inclusive sessions are $725, which also includes your $100 charitable donation.  The charity/charities will be announced soon.

FAQ's

Can I be in the session with my pet?

Beacause this style of portraiture requires special clothing and hair/make-up, we cannot do that through the fundraiser.  You may schedule a full session, however!  We'll start with a consultation.

Can I bring in multiple pets?

Sure!  We love your pets and know how important it is to you to have them photographed together.  We will talk about these details when we schedule your session.

Do my pets have to wear special costumes?

Nope!  Thouse we love the look of the ruff colars and other special props we have on hand, it not a requirement.  If you prefer simple, that's fine.

How should I prepare?

Work on "sit" and "stay" commands in advance of your session.  Have your dog groomed in advance so they look their best.  And bring them for a nice long walk before arriving to rid some energy.

Can I order other sizes and products?

Absolutely.  If a 16x20 isn't large enough, we can definitely upgrade your canvas.  Other options like additional wall portraits, albums and holiday cards will be available or order as well.

Where exactly is your studio?

You will find us right next to Loring Park in Minneapolis, just upstairs from Cafe and Bar Lurcat.  We'll get you all the details when we schedule your session.
